THE MOLLIE COLUMN! One Dress, Three Different Looks!

Be comfortable, confident, sassy, and saved in your own skin :)

New PictureDo you have a favorite dress or outfit in your closet that can use some sprucing up?  Well, let me help you!  Take that dress that you always wear the same way and experiment with different accessories and colors.  For instance, I took my favorite dress that I purchased at TJ Maxx several months ago and created three different looks.

Look number 1: This look is very casual with the jean jacket, flat sandals, and bulky bangles.  I can wear this look to the shopping mall, Saturday lunch with friends, or just relaxing at the coffee shop.  I pulled out the beige in this outfit by playing up the tans and golds.

Look number 2:  This look is perfect for almost any outing!  This look is very simple, but adds a pop of color at the feet!  Mustard yellow is a great neutral that is fun and edgy.  The shoes were purchased at Nine West.  To accessorize, I used a simple gold chain with pearls and vintage pearl earrings both purchased at consignment shops.  Again, this outfit can be worn at the shopping mall, date night with your significant other, dinner, or a gathering with friends.

Look number 3:  This last look gives the dress a more elegant look.  It’s definitely not formal and cannot be worn to a semi-formal or formal event, however, it can be the talk of the night at a nice restaurant downtown.  The patent leather belt and strappy black sandals give the dress the chic finish it needs to be considered an outfit appropriate for dinner.  This look is in the same category as the last look, but just plays up the black in the dress as opposed to the beige.

I hope this post has given you some ideas for that little black dress, tribal pants, abstract top, or even your skinny jeans.  Remember, to play with your accessories and don’t be afraid to add color!  Most importantly, be yourself because everyone else is taken! Be comfortable, confident, sassy, and saved in your own skin :) It looks good on you!
